Q. What is Taxi Insurance?
Taxi insurance is required if you intend to carry passengers for hire and reward.
Q. What types of taxi insurance are there?
Taxi Insurance includes private hire insurance, public hire insurance, minibus insurance and taxi fleet insurance. Your vehicle must be licensed by the appropriate taxi licensing authority in your area.
Q. Can I get immediate cover?
Yes, if you have a credit or debit card we can issue you with immediate cover, subject to normal terms and conditions. Please note that if you choose to pay by Direct Debit we will require a deposit from you, payable by credit or debit card and you will need an account that supports the Direct Debit facility. Some insurers may request documents upfront prior to going on cover.
Q. Will taxi fleet insurance be the best option if I have more than one taxi?

Q. Can I get insurance if I have no taxi experience?
Of course, we have access to market leading taxi insurers which can offer competitive prices for new taxi drivers.
Q. Can I use my private car no claims bonus?
Yes, we have underwriters who may allow a discount subject to criteria.
Q. What is the difference between private hire taxi insurance and public hire taxi insurance?
Public Hire Insurance – this vehicle is allowed to do an immediate pick up from the street.
Private Hire Insurance – private hire taxi’s (or minicabs) are arranged appointments from a selected pick up point.
